She was born on April 26, 1966 in Akron, Ohio a daughter of Barbara Paden Pierce Probst who survives of Paden City, West Virginia and the late Ronnie Pierce.
Vicki was a 1984 graduate of Magnolia High School, New Martinsville, West Virginia; was a Registered Nurse at the Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio; was a faith filled member of the Paden Fork Chapel, Paden City, West Virginia and was a inspiration touching everyone who was blessed to know her.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Dorothy Paden; maternal grandfather, Billy Probst and a nephew Drew Cain.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two beautiful daughters, Megan Pierce and Ashley DeMarco; step-father: Dan Probst; two sisters: Jenny (Ted) Cain, Julia (Jim) Matheny all of Paden City, West Virginia; one brother: Mike (April) Pierce of Matthews, North Carolina; three nieces, five nephews; grandmother, Pearl Probst; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Dr. Kelli Cawley, the Strecker Cancer Center and the caring staff at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Dr. Cawley went above and beyond, not only was she Vicki's physician she was a friend. We also want to recognize our dad, Dan, who was always by her side throughout her battle. We love you.
Friends will be received at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 South Bridge Street, New Martinsville, West Virginia from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010 where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010 with Pastors Cliff McLahorn and Dale Dudgeon officiating. Burial will follow in the Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City, West Virginia.
Memorial contributions my be made to the Wetzel County Relay for Life, 924 West High Street, Harrisville, WV 26362.
