He was married on Aug. 14, 1868, to Eliza Isobelle Cooper, born Sept. 25, 1852, at Fort Bend County, TX., and died May 10, 1928, in Colorado City, TX. Catherine (Cassiani) Fuqua was born in 1850 and Newton S. was born in 1853 in Hamilton County, TX. Many of his heirs are buried in the Gentry Mills Cemetery in Hamilton County."
