Fay E. (Snearly) Tohill, 98, of Riverwoods, formerly of Oak Lawn and Yale, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, in her residence.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, with the Rev. Brownie Tohill officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Yale. Memorials may be made to the Midwest Care Center, 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL60025 or PLOWS Council on Aging, 7808 College Dr., Suite 5E, Palos Heights, IL 60463.
Fay was born Nov. 3, 1911, in Yale, the daughter of William Dennis and Hulda Tabitha (Adkinson) Snearly. She married Harry Arden Tohill Aug. 3, 1940. He preceded her in death Sept. 29, 1996.
Surviving are her son, Arden Tohill, Jr. and wife Mary of Canal Fulton, OH; daughter, Arlene Rubin and husband Robert of Riverwoods; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arden; brothers, Harold and David Fudge; and sister, Drucie (Fudge) Newsom.
