Crockett, Tex., March 4. -- John McCann, a well-to-do farmer, residing about fifteen miles northwest of Crockett, met with an accident late yesterday evening and sustained injuries resulting in his death. Mr. McCann was returning home, when his horses ran away, throwing him out against a tree, crushing his skull. He was picked up and taken to his home, where he died in about three hours.
