Leopard who appeared on the BBC program "Big Cat Diaries". The documentary series was filmed in Kenya's Masai Mara National Park.
Bella had several cubs, one in particular Chui (Swahili for leopard) appeared on the show as well. He stayed with Bella until he was almost 4 years and a half which is very uncommon with leopards. Bella still took care of her now grown cub until he finally left and went to be on his own as leopards are mostly solitary and not social cats like lions.
Bella went on to have one litter after Chui. Only one little cub, a female that was named Olive. Olive made it into adulthood and she as well became a mother. She too remained close to Bella. Bella was over 7 years old when she died.
