COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY - 10/25/2003
Mary L. Doughty, 78, of Louisville, died Thursday, October 23, 2003, at Meadows East Nursing Home. A native of Louisville, she was the former Mary L. Staab. She was a retired nurse's aide for the old Methodist Evangelical Hospital and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin E. Doughty. She is survived by a son, Michael E. Doughty; daughters, Dianna Bowskill and Mary M. O'Keefe; sisters, Aileen Woerner, Margaret McGinty, Dorothy Mix, Patricia Nash, Shirley Thieneman and Kathy Passafiume; brothers, E. J. Staab Jr. and Richard Staab; her stepmother, Hilda Whaley; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2003 at Highlands Family Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2003, at Highlands. Memorial gifts may go to the charity of the donor's choice.
