GORDON, RZ - 80 of Vandercook Lake passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side Wednesday, March 10, 2010. He was the son of Dorotha and Charles Edward Gordon born October 27, 1929 in Jackson. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary (Darby) Gordon whom he married January 7, 1950; five daughters, Debie (William) Butler, Brenda Bombalicki, Cynthia (Paul F.) Esler, Meri-Beth (Richard) Bailey, and Jody Jermeay; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Virginia Gordon; brother-in-law, Donald Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eileen Smith; brother, Lyle Gordon. Mr. Gordon retired after 37 years of service from Kent-Moore Tool. He played baseball and softball in Jackson County; enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, camping and pitching horseshoes. He was a member of the Golden Gloves. RZ never met a stranger; he was loved by many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
