CHESAPEAKE - Roland Vincent Allen Jr., 61, died Feb. 9, 2001. He was born in Pungo, N.C., to the late Vincent Roland Allen Sr. and Bertie Mae Creef. He was employed with Farm Fresh for over 20 years. He was a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Mr. Allen is survived by three daughters, Katherine D. Greenwood of Wyoming, Brenda A. Gregory of Willow Springs, Mo., and Cheryl A. Mason of Chesapeake; a son, Vincent Allen best known as ``White Head,'' special daughter-in-law, Phyllis Allen; their mother, Peggy Allen; sisters, Barbara Tomasik and Bertie Dapprick of Melborne, Fla.; and his brothers, Roland Allen and David Allen of Virginia; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Debra A. Cohen.
A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
