A stonemason, born in Higganum, CT to Lizzie Matilda Tooker and Niles Martin Clark. After Niles died, Lizzie gave up "Frank Clark" to the newly formed Opportunity Farm in New Gloucester, Maine, where he lived with his brother James. Both brothers' names were changed to Clarke (with the "e" at the end) at the Farm. Upon release as an elder teenager, Frank went to work for the Fogg/Bornheimer Farm on Black Point Road, Scarborough as a farmhand, and later worked as a stonemason. He met his future wife Emily Iva Temm out on Higgins Beach nearby. Some of his stonemasonry work is still on display on many Scarborough homes. They had 12 children together. He died of hypoxemia after a fairly long battle with pancreatitis.
