Lawrence E. "ET" Throckmorton, age 69 of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Greenfield, Highland County, Ohio.

He was born at Hillsboro, Ohio, on August 25, 1941, the son of the late Joseph R. and Mae (Crabtree) Throckmorton. He served in the National Guard and Army Reserve, and was a carpenter contractor by profession.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Joseph, Sonny, Vickey, Herb and Don Throckmorton, and four sisters, Vivian Mosley, Lou Hurt, Imogene Oppy and Barbara Page.

He is survived by three sons, Lawrence E. Throckmorton Jr. of Luckey, Richard O. Throckmorton of Russellville, Brian Keith Thockmorton of Luckey, one daughter, Kimberly Sue Throckmorton of Luckey, four step sons, Ronnie Dillow, Jim Dillow, Shane Cordy, Nick Cordy, five step daughters, Betty Dillow of West Virginia, Regina Roberts, Monica Roberts, Kerry Roberts, Angela Cordy, three brothers, Gary Throckmorton of Greenfield, Tom Throckmorton of Samantha, Dave Throckmorton of Lucasville, 16 grandchildren and over two hundred nieces and nephews.

Visitation took place on Saturday, March 13, 2010, from 12:00 noon. Funeral services took place at 2:00 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Wiley Perkins officiating. Burial followed in the McAfee Cemetery on the family farm with military graveside rites by the Highland County Honor Guard.
