William Boelling Dies,
Venice City Employee
William H. Boelling, a Venice city employee for the past nine years, died at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, two hours after arrival at St. Elizabeth's Hospital at Belleville.
Mr. Boelling, 64, had been ill for several days but had continued to work. He had been under medical care since Monday. Death was attribute to a heart seizure.
A lifetime Venice resident, Mr. Boelling lived at 1208 Douglas avenue. He was a truck driver for the city, and formerly worked at the old American Car and Foundry plant. He belonged to the Venice City Organization and had been a member of the volunteer fire company for 28 years.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie, a son, William P. Boelling of Venice, three daughters, Mrs. Joe (June) Bussell of Madison and Mrs. Clark (Darlene) Ray and Mrs. Carl (Deloris) Essington of Granite City; a brother Charles H. Boelling of Venice; a sister Mrs. Margaret Achors, Venice; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
