GANG, MARIAN McLOUGHLIN - age 88, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2001. A life long member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir for many years, and wrote a history of Holy Ghost Parish in 1976. Marian was a member of the first graduating class of Knoxville Catholic High School in 1933. She went to work at Pressmens Home in Rogersville, and in Kingsport, and Oak Ridge during World War II. Later she worked for TVA in Chattanooga and Knoxville. Preceded in death by husband, Pat Gang, Sr.; parents, James C. and Eleanor McLoughlin; brothers, Pat, Tom, John and Bob; sisters, Mary Emily, Eleanor, and Bernadette McLoughlin. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Sandy Gang; grandson, Charlie and Jimmy Gang of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Marguerite McLoughlin of Knoxville, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Funeral mass 11 a.m. Saturday, Holy Ghost Catholic Church with Father Xavier Mankel officiating. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks, memorial donations be made in her honor to the Knoxville Catholic High School, 9245 Fox Lonas Rd., Knoxville, TN 37923, or to St. Joseph's School, 1810 Howard Rd., Knoxville, TN 37918. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Friday with Rosary at 8:30 p.m. at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
