Obituary from Newport News, VA "Daily Press," Tuesday morning, March 5, 1935, page Seven:

BUNTING, Mrs. Vianna (sic) V., 81 years old, died 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 4, 1935, in her home in Messick. Survived by four sons and four daughters, two sisters, 24 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Funeral services not completed. Funeral arrangements in charge of Claytor Rollins.

RITES THIS AFTERNOON

Funeral services for Mrs. Vianana (sic) V. Bunting, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S.P. Bunting (?), in Messick, Monday, will be held at the residence today at 3 p.m. the Rev. Lee G. Crutchfield will officiate at the services. Mrs. Bunting was 81 years of age and died after a short illness.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. E.L. Watkins, Mrs. W.S. Rollins, Mrs. M.V. Rand and Mrs. W.C. Topping; four sons, H.S. Bunting, J.F. Bunting, E.B. (sic) Bunting, and S.T. Bunting; two sisters, Mrs. J.H. Bradshaw and Mrs. J.M. Huggett; 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bunting was a member of Trinity church in Messick, and took an active part in the church affairs.

Active pallbearers will be: T.H. Watkins, Floyd Rollins, J.O. Bunting, Wesley Bunting, Horace Bunting, and Tom Rollins, all grandchildren.

Friends of the family will serve as honorary pallbearers.
