John Gaddis was a Jackson, Mississippi, artist who specialized in watercolors.
Gaddis was born on November 20, 1928. During his youth, he studied watercolor painting under Mississippi artists Doris Nunn and Sam Gore. He received a degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and worked as a civil engineer until 1972 when he decided to focus on his art full-time. He was also known for training many other area watercolorists. Gaddis died in 1993.
