Arthur C. Addison, 79, of 430 S.E. Court, arcadia, passed away Thursday at the Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, Fla. He was born in DeSoto County and lived in Fort Myers for several years, moving back to Arcadia in 1969. He was a retired supervisor of stores for the Division of Correction, a member of the Pine Level United Methodist church.
Survivors are his wife, Annie Ruth Addison, Arcadia; one son, Charles Richard Addison, Fayetteville, Ga.; one daughter, Connie Lanier, Fort Myers; three stepsons, Francis Harrison and Jimmy Harrison, both of Fort Myers; Claude Harrison Jr. of Arcadia; two step-daughters, Lucille Thompson, Fort Myers and June Layport, Arcadia; 24 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation Saturday 7-8:30 p.m. at the Robarts-Grady Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pine Level United Methodist Church with the Rev. Vernon Queene officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia. Robarts-Grady Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (Fort Myers News-Press, Aug. 1, 1987)
