Mr. Bentz was born August 10, 1892 in Hooper. He was a member of Duel Chapter Number 11 of Royal Arch Masons at Grand Island, member of Mount Lebanon Commandery Number 6 of Knights Templar and member of Friendship Lodge Number 239 at Chapman. Survivors include the widow, Sharley; three sons, Marvin of Chapman, Melvin of Stanton, California, and Earl of Valley, one daughter, Mrs. Gerald Bogart of French Morocco, Africa; three brothers, Ernest of Fremont, Donald of Oregon City, Oregon, and Lyle of Gladstone, Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Lydia Rowlett of West Lynn, Oregon, 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
