HOFFMAN, Gunnery Sgt. Michael A., of the U.S. Marine Corps, born in Tampa, June 4, 1975, passed away July 12, 2008, in New Windsor, N.Y. Michael is survived by his wife, Sonja and daughters, Maegan and Hailey, currently of New Windsor, N.Y.; parents, John and Anita Hoffman; sisters, Kimberly Wiedlich, Tracy Hoffman, Jennifer Williams and Heather Fabel of Tampa; sisters-in-law, Frances Biro and Barbara Stubbs of Houston, Texas, and Stephanie Gleason of Chicago, Ill.; brothers-in-law, Steve Biro Jr. of Anderson, Calif.; Scott Biro of Mariposa, Calif.; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Emily Boatwright of Tampa; and many nieces and nephews. He graduated from Tampa's King High School in 1993, thereafter joining the service. He had been actively serving the U.S. Marine Corps since, receiving numerous awards and commendations throughout his dedicated service. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W. Bearss Ave., FL 33618. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2008, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9715 N. 56th St., Temple Terrace, FL 33617.
