Wife of US Navy Captain Allen B. Reed. On September 6, 1944, she sponsored the submarine, USS Torsk. Torsk sank the last enemy combatant ship of WW2 when it sank a Japanese coastal patrol boat in August 1945. USS Torsk is presently a museum ship at the Baltimore Maritime Museum.
