Ardath V. 'Nannie' Shuler Painter, 90, of Stanley, died on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003 at MonVue Nursing Home.
She was born on Aug. 18, 1913, in Shenandoah, Page County and was a daughter of the late Hiram E. and Sallie Gertrude Kite Shuler.
Mrs. Painter was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Shenandoah.
Her husband, Gilbert Aldon 'Mike' Painter, died on Aug. 18, 1973.
She is survived by a son, Alvin Painter of Richmond; a daughter, Sylvia Berry of Luray; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Burial in the Coverstone Cemetery.
