Maryland Agricultural College, Class of 1905, Reveille Yearbook
Alias - "Prof" and "Fes". Born at Dickerson, Md., October 22, 1885. He early entered the public schools at Dickerson, and from the very outset showed a marvelous ability for every and anything mathematical. This ability awarded him his nick-name. He graduated with high honors, and in September, 1902, he entered the Maryland Agricultural College and became an active member of the Sophomore Class of that year. His ability in mathematics stood him in good stead, and he quickly forged his way to the front in that particular study.
He has always taken an active interest in athletics, an in the fall of 1904 made the football team, and there played a strong game throughout the season.
He has a most amiable disposition and is a jolly good fellow. Needless to say his weak point is the fair sex. He has been known to stay out early and late to mingle in the fair crowd, who hold him in high esteem.
He has done good work for and at the College, has made many friends among the students and ladies, and we wish him the success through life which he so richly deserves.

Mr. Wellstood White, 95, well-known estate executive and retired farmer, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, in a nursing home in Savannah, Ga., where be had been a resident for several years.
Mr. White was born in his ancestral home In Dickerson in 1885. He graduated in 1905 from Maryland Agricultural College, now the University of Maryland, as a civil engineer and he later earned a Bachelor of Law Degree from National University in Washington, D. C.
He joined the Army in 1916 as a 2nd LL and served in France with the 78th Infantry Division. Be was rendered partially deaf due to an artillery explosion in the Argonne Forest during World War I. He left the service in 1920 with the rank of Lt. Col. During the 1920s, he was employed in the motion picture industry in New York City as a distributor of news reel cameras and motion picture house projectors. He returned to the Washington area in the early 1930s where he entered the real estate business with William Throckmorton Company as a commercial appraiser.
During his semi-retirement, be operated with his brother Henry the family farm "Inverness" in Upper Montgomery County.
He was a life member of the Legal Fraternity Sigma Nu Phi.
He is survived by his wife Rosalie, a daughter Rosalie Gaillard: two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth White Tipton, who is the last surviving member of the White family.
