Peter Cloum (aka Colum) was born in 1841, perhaps in Canada or Michigan, son of Peter Colombe and Margaret Shompong (?). Baptized at the French community on the Toussaint R., and spent most of his life in Ottawa and Lucas Counties, Ohio. Married in 1862 to Sophia Cutcher. Many of their descendents live in Monroe Mi and NW Ohio. Their resting place was unmarked until 2011, when the family had a headstone placed on the gravesite in remembrance of our great- and great-great grandparents.
