Flossie Mae Phillips was the daughter of Samuel Wolford Phillips and Donna Martelia Bullington. She was the oldest child of 7 children born to her parents. Her siblings were: J. C. Phillips, Walter "Bubbie", Fred, Ruby, Samuel Latham, and John Sherman.
Flossie married William Cornelius "Will" Etier August 24, 1913. To their union, Helen Inez Etier and Lloyd Wayne Etier was born. Flossie and Will raised a granddaughter, Ermaleen Kay Etier, daughter of their son from infancy. Helen Inez Etier never married and was so devoted to her parents and helped care and raised Ermaleen Kay.
Flossie, Will and family lived in Yuma, AZ for many years. When Will retired, he moved the family moved back to Millsap, Texas and lived there until their deaths.
