Christine Evelyn Morin, age 74, Belleville area resident since 1956, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI. She was born November 29, 1935 in England, daughter of the late Albert & Elsie (Powell) Ralph.
Christine was a British Subject, having duel residency, living in America on a green card. She was a member of the Catholic Church of England. She loved flower gardening, shopping, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and talking on the phone. She also enjoyed musicals, the Lawrence Welk Show and Michigan/Ohio State games.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Loren C. Morin, three sons L. Mark (Carrie) Morin of Ypsilanti, MI, Philip Morin and Steven (Paula) Morin, both of Belleville, MI, 7 grandchildren; Steven, Christopher, Matt, Joseph, Misty, Ryan and Brianna, two great-grandchildren Caven & Laylee, two brothers Pete (Barbara) Ralph and Douglas (Jean) Ralph, both of Newberry, England, also 6 nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, also a granddaughter, Stephanie Rix, March 2, 2010.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
