BARATTA, Francis P. "Bill", 79, of Wood-Ridge for forty-four years passed away February 27, 2010. Mr. Baratta was born in Jersey City. He was an Army Korean War Veteran. For fifteen years, he worked as a Chemical Operator for Colgate-Palmolive Co. in Jersey City and retired in 1988 and then he was a Crossing Guard in Wood-Ridge for eighteen years. Bill was a parishioner of Assumption Church, a member of the VFW Post 3616 in Wood-Ridge, a member of the Wood-Ridge Social Club and a Pop Warner coach. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Quinn) Baratta. Loving father of Angela Lewis and her husband Robert, Francis H. Baratta and Michael Baratta and his wife Donna. Cherished grandfather of Justin, Josh and great-grand-father of Justino. Dear brother of Augie Pitaresi and the late Joseph Baratta and Ann Marie Meyers. Funeral from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 9 AM and from Assumption Church, Wood-Ridge at 9:30 AM. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visitation, Tuesday evening, 7-9 PM and Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
