Idella G Bickal, 64 of rural Shellsburg died Sunday night at St. Lukes Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 28, 1917, in Vinton to Glenn W. and Lydia (Downing) Steinmetz. She married Harold Bickal on Nov 2, 1935, in Des Moines.
She is survived by her husband Harold of rural Shellsburg, her stepmother, Blanche Steinmetz of Vinton, a son David of Palo, a daughter, Mrs. William (Kathy) Zeller, also of Palo, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
She was the manager of the Rolling Home country Manor Mobile Home of Grace Trinity Church in Shellsburg.
