Funeral services for Richard D. "Criccet" Strickland of Ada, OK will be Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home in Ada, OK. Interment will follow at Tiger Family Cemetery in Spaulding, OK. Wake service will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home in Ada from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Officiating both will be Rev. Houston Tiger. Mr. Strickland died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Carl Albert Indian Health Facility in Ada, OK at the age of 31. He was born August 22, 1978 in Dallas, TX to Richard Dewayne Strickland Sr. and Laveda Tiger. Mr. Strickland moved to Ada in 2004 from Wewoka, OK. He worked in the maintenance department in aviation at a local airport in Shawnee, OK for many years. He loved music, his friends, and the Dallas Cowboys. Mr. Strickland is survived by his mother, Laveda Tiger of Ada, OK; one son, Cristian Strickland of Shawnee, OK; two daughters, Alexus and Camery Strickland both of Ada, OK; one brother, Jonathan Strickland of Ada, OK; one sister, Kerrie Fuentes and her husband Fredy of Ada, OK; his grandmother, Christine Tiger of Ada, OK, three uncles, Joseph, Ray, and Anthony Tiger; and two aunts, Carolyn Lewis and Ashley M. Tiger. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Tiger Sr.; one uncle, Bobby Tiger, and one cousin, Chad McGirt.
