BROWN, Thomas B. 82, of Walpole, MA (formerly of Dover, MA) February 24, 2010, beloved husband of Barbara, died peacefully at his home with his family at his side after a tremendously courageous battle with brain tumors. He is survived by his wife Barbara of 55 years, his son Thomas and his wife Beth, of Buena Park, CA, his son Brian of Rutland, MA, his son Brendan and his wife Ruth, of Morrisville, VT, his daughter, Erin of Charlestown, MA, five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He joins his son, Michael, who died in 1992. He was born on July 29, 1927 in Woodside, Queens, NY, and served in the United States Navy before graduating from Hofstra College and The Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University. He spent 43 years as an Investment Manager for various institutions including the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Lincoln First Bank in Rochester, NY, and Shawumt Bank in Boston, where he retired as Senior Vice President in 1994. He served the Diocese of Worcester's Financial Advisory Board, was a member of the Council on Aging for the Town of Dover, and was also a Board Member of the Natick VNA. He was a role model in integrity, graciousness, bravery and humor, and was treasured by his family and friends. A private family service will be held at Eaton Funeral Home in Needham, MA. Friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 1, 2010 at the Church of the Most Precious Blood, 32 Centre Street, Dover, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's memory to: Natick VNA, 209 W.
