Alda Irene Bolyard, 62, of Stanley, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in Stanley.
Mrs. Bolyard was born Nov. 2, 1945, in Stanley and was the daughter of the late Virgil "Jack" Edgar and Charlotte Irene Painter Dovel.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Winifred Dovel.
She was a graduate of Page County High School.
Her husband, Terry B. Bolyard, survives in Stanley.
Also surviving are two sons and their wives, Keith C. and Jackie Bolyard and Kenneth C. and Jodi Bolyard, all of Stanley; two daughters and their husbands, Tara and Jason Dorough of Halton City, Texas, and Heather and Marcus DaSilva of Sao Paulo, Brazil;
a brother, Garland Edgar Dovel of Stanley, and eight grandchildren.
Pastor Carter Dean will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008, at Leake's Chapel Church of the Brethren.
Burial will be in Leake's Chapel Cemetery in Stanley. The body will be taken to the church, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 Cork St., 4th Floor, Winchester, VA 22601. (DNR)
