In 1901 she was united in marriage to Gottlieb Wernli, the ceremony taking place in Switzerland. Soon after the young couple came to American and in 1905 settled in Karnes county, where six daughters and one son were born to the union. Mr. and Mrs. Wernli and the family engaged in the farming business near Monteola, where the family home was established. She was a member of the order of the Sisters of Hermann Sons, and was prominent in business, church and social circles of this section. She was a member of the Lutheran Church. During her long residence in Karnes county, she and her charming family made many lifelong friends, who loved and honored her and her family."
