Services for Roland J. Barnett, 54, well-known resident of the Indian Mound Community were held in the Loving Baptist Church with Elder O. Strickland of Medland Chapel and Rev. Hubert Foust of First Baptist in Graham officiating.

Mr. Barnett was employed by the Turner and West Oil Company, Mr. Barnett spent his entire life in Young County and was a member of Medlan's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church.

He married Miss Ida Irma Lindsey on 20 July 1934 at Jermyn, Texas.

Survived by his wife; one daughter - Mrs. Rolene Stapp; one son - James Barnett; three grandsons; five sisters - Miss Golda Barnett, Mrs. Herman Rubenkoenig, Mrs. W.L. Simmons, Mrs. Fred Cox; one brother - Eldwyn Barnett.
