son of Walter Elliott Baker - Lucinda Shelton. Herbert H. Baker was the son of Walter Baker, farmers of the Markley-Loving community.

Herbert H. "Herb" Baker, 57, started the Spudnut Shop in Clovis, New Mexico in 1955. He lived in the Clovis, New Mexico area since 1947.

Herbert Baker married Miss Dema Calvin in 1925 at Markley, Texas. He was an oil field worker at the time. He later became a licensed Real Estate Broker.

Services were held in the Clovis First Baptist Church.

Survived by his wife; two sons - Harlin Gilbert Baker and Roger Baker; four daughters - Mrs. Faye Armstrong, Mrs. Norman Beum, Mrs. Nell Taylor, Mrs. Donna Search; two brothers - F.W. Baker and Grady Baker; three sisters - Mrs. A.W. Dickson, Mrs. John Snider, Mrs. J.E. "Buck" Jones; 11 grandchildren.

Herbert Baker was a brother-in-law to Mrs. Melvin Cornell and Mrs. Lee Loftin; ad an uncle of Mrs. Lonnie Cook.

Hubert Baker's remains were disinterred from Mission Garden Cemetery and Mausoleum and move to the Loving cemetery on 9 January 1985 by Steed Funeral Home, Clovis, NM according to their funeral home records.
