Final rites for R. J. Anderson, 77, retired Dawson merchant and farmer, who died in the Navarro Clinic Friday night, were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the First Methodist church in Dawson.
The services were held by Rev. Robert W. Sanders, pastor of the church, and Rev. Chester Reames, pastor of the Purdon Baptist church. Burial was in the Dawson cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, R. E. Anderson, Hillsboro, and Jack Anderson, Blythe, Calif; five daughters, Mrs. E. H. Bobbitt, Hillsboro; Mrs. J. M Clark, Jr. and Mrs. Charles Echols, both of Dallas; Mrs. Leamon Phillips, Purdon; and Mrs. Graham Roban, Corsicana; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a brother H. E. Anderson, Austin; a sister, Mrs. Sallie Boldin, Lamesa, and other relatives.
Pallbearers were C. D. Berry, H. O. Berry, J. L. Berry, H. E. McNabb, Skill Stockard and Edgar Davis. Corley directed.
