Catherine Eileen "Kitty" Martin Ketchersid Robinson Durbin, 76, died April 18, 2004 in Snowflake.
She was born July 4, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri, she moved to San Bernardino in 1945. Having met and married Samuel W. Ketchersid, Jr., traveling with him while in the Army Air Corps. Their life traversed the US from coast to coast and Kitty worked in many different fields from proofreading newspapers to working as a secretary in the Aero Space program to dental assisting. Whether you knew her as Catherine, Grandma Kitty or Miss Kitty, the world has lost one of it's great and grand ladies. Kitty was loved by everyone who knew her. Her beauty radiated from within and she glowed with her love of life and it's adventures.
After the death of her husband in 1977, she married Charles J. Robinson, who then passed away in 1983. By this time she was living in Show Low, where she met Larry Durbin and married him in May 1985.
She is survived by her husband Larry; daughters, Linda (Scott) Cronin, Donna Owens, and Tina Durbin; son Les Durbin, also surviving her are grandchildren Lori (Troy) Pinkley, Brian (Deanna) Cronin, James (Michelle) Snyder, Jenny, Lee, Lisa Durbin, Nikki and Angie Towell; and eight great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary in Taylor Saturday, April 24 at 11 a.m., with services following. Burial will be at Taylor Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled under the direction of Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary in Taylor.
