Mrs. Gussie M. Anderson, age 93, of Katy, Texas, passed away in Katy, Texas on April 28, 2009. After cremation, memorial services were held on Friday, May 8, 2009 in Texas. A graveside service for the interment of cremains will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sizemore Memorial Cemetery in Beaverton, AL. Officiating minister will be Bro. Dwight Bailey. Local arrangements handled by Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent, AL.
Gussie was a loving wife and mother. She was a resident of Katy, Texas and attended Ashford Methodist Church in the early 90's. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Conroe, Texas. Gussie was born on May 14, 1915 in Beaverton, AL. She was married to Cecil Anderson and they were the parents of two sons, Harold and Bob. In 1954 Gussie and Cecil moved to McAllen, Texas where they resided until Cecil's death and at that time Gussie moved to Conroe, Texas.
All who knew Gussie will remember her as a very loving and giving lady who always had time to listen and share the love of God with all. She will be missed by all. Gussie's husband preceded her in death in 1967 after 33 years of marriage. Her son Harold also preceded her in death in 1981. Her granddaughter Jennifer preceded her in death in 1979.
She is survived by her son, Bob, sister Jeanette, grandson's Cecil, Harold, Tim and granddaughter Freda, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandson, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
