Berman Hagin, 74, died Thursday at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah after a long illness.
The Bulloch County native was a pipefitter, a World War II veteran having served in the Navy, a member of Belvedere Baptist Church of West Palm Beach, Fla., and attended the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ina M. Hagin, Statesboro; three sons, Joseph Hagin, Stuart, Fla., Ronald Hagin, West Palm Beach, Fl., and Gary Hagin, Stuart, Fla., one daughter, Sandra Hanson, Statesboro; his mother, Ruby Waters Hagin, Savannah; five sisters, Henrietta Anderson, Savannah, Uldean Douglas and Joyce Cowart, both of Tybee Island, Fedwena Bandy Guerndey and Betty Hood, both of St. Augustine, Fla.; one brother, Ennis E. Hagin; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church with Elder George Daunhauer officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Harry Douglas III, Patrick Hagin, Don Martin, Kyle Rushing, Marty Rushing and Michael Hagin.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
