Mavis Azalea Adams, 89, of Bowling Green, KY, left to be with her Lord and Savior on February 19, 2010, at the Hospice Center in Bowling Green following a brief illness.
The funeral is at noon Tuesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane Chapel, 820 Lovers Lane, Bowling Green, KY, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens, 832 Broadway AV, Bowling Green, KY.

She was a daughter of the late Luther Muse and Molly Floyd Muse. Mavis Azalea Lawrence was born In Pulaski County on August 9, 1920. She died in Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY, on February 19, 2010, at the age of 89 years, 6 months, and 10 days.
A family tribute...
After two years at Trevecca Nazarene College, she traveled by train to California to marry a handsome Navy Seabee on June 30, 1945.
She was deeply loved by her husband and family. She was a devoted wife and homemaker who faithfully prayed for her family and left a hallmark example for Bible reading and praying.
She was steadfast and loving in supporting her husband. Mavis Adams was a devout Christian woman who was willing to teach, help, love and support the people and Nazarene churches at which her husband pastored.
Their love for each other was a testimony for the power of God's love in their lives. They loved and served the Lord and became a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to have known them. Philippians 4:8-9.
She was preceded in death by twin granddaughters, Lisa and Laura Willey, daughters of Beth Bradley; five sisters, Hazel Dunkum, Glenn Lacefield, Arlie Muse, Ocia Fletcher and Martha Muse; and two brothers, Paul Muse and Joseph Muse.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years, the Rev. Lawrence Adams, and the following: A son, Larry Adams and his wife, Patti, Longmont, CO. Two daughters, Linda Keown and her husband, David, of Bowling Green, and Beth Bradley and her husband, Tom, of Newark, OH
Four grandchildren: Kimberly Adams, Kevin Adams and his wife, Patti; Jason Willey and his wife, Gretchen: and Allyson Keltner
Six great-grandchildren: Amanda Ames, Tate Barton, Ella and Anna Adams and Cain and Isaac Willey
A sister, Alexine Barrum, of Nancy.
A brother, Lindel Muse and his wife, Christine, of Nancy.
And many nieces and nephews.
