He was the father of the famous actress Peg Entwistle who jumped off the Hollywood sign in 1932.
Robert died in the Prospect Heights Hospital in Brooklyn from injuries received when he was struck by an automobile. He had appeared on the stage as an actor and later worked as a stage manager for Charles Frohman.
