Anna M. Larson, 83, Woodstock, and formerly of the Fox River Grove, Cary and Crystal Lake areas, died Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Crossroads Care Center, Woodstock.
She was born Sept. 27, 1926, in Chicago, to James and Josephine (Limek) Sedlacek. She married Ernest Larson May 14, 1949, in Cary. She was raised in Fox River Grove and lived in Cary for 30 years before moving to Crystal Lake, where she resided for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Good Sam Camping Club, enjoyed fishing and gardening and liked animals and caring for them. She also enjoyed crocheting, baking and hunting for antiques.
Survivors include a son, Mark (Gayle) Larson, Crystal Lake; two grandsons, Bryan and Dwight Larson; a great-grandson, Dylan; a brother, Edward (Paula Jean) Sedlacek; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Emil, James and Charles; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Sedlacek. The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, Crystal Lake. The visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Friday, Feb. 26, at the funeral home. Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock.
