Minnie Lee Bryant, age 87, of Tupelo, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday November 20, 2001. She was the daughter of Willie M. and Annie McCollum Montgomery and was born August 29, 1914, in Forrest City, Arkansas.

Mrs. Bryant worked during the war at Milam Factory in Tupelo. She later worked at the Lyric Theatre and as hostess of the Gaslight Inn. She sold Avon products for many years. Before her retirement at the age of 70, she worked at the Quality Stamp Redemption Center in Tupelo.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorris Norris and her husband, Bobby, and Fay Kidd and her husband, James; a sister, Maggie Clark; six grandchildren, Linda Pearson and her husband, Thomas, Robert Norris Jr. and his wife, Tiffany, Vicki Burch and her husband, Ron, David Kidd and his wife, Paige, Jerry Kidd and his wife, Myra, and Alan Norris and his wife, Mistye; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter.

Services were held Saturday, November 24, 2001, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of WE Pegues, with Brother Tim Green officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery in Tupelo. Pallbearers were her grandsons and great grandsons.
