CLAYTON, NC - Jean Marr Bailey, SSGT (US Army Ret), age 64 of Clayton died Monday at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
Graveside services were 2:00 pm Friday at Union Presbyterian Church at 2000 Union Church Road, Carthage, conducted by Rev. William A. Stewart.
A native of Wake County she was a daughter of Mattie Laney Marr and the late Walter E. Marr Jr.
She was a personnel technician in the US Army National Guard and retired as a Staff Sergeant.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert "Mac" Bailey Jr.
In addition to her mother she is survived by a sister Carol Meszaros (Michael) of Raleigh; brother Walter E. Marr III of Garner; niece Elizabeth Paige Meszaros of Raleigh and a nephew Michael Emmett Meszaros of Canada.
