Pearl Burr Miller, age 93, died April 16, 1991 at the Lone Tree Health Care Center following a long illness. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 19, at the Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Albert Best officiating. Sorden’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

A General Memorial has been established.

Pearl Burr was born August 10, 1897 to parents John P. and Anna M. (Stock) Burr in Lincoln Township of Johnson County.

She married Robert J. Miller on June 21, 1944 in Iowa City. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1974.

Pearl Miller was a graduate of the University of Iowa. She was a teacher and worked as a teller and book keeper at the Lone Tree Savings Bank. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a sister: Mrs. W. L. (Alice) Musser, Iowa City and a brother Lloyd Burr Sr. of Lone Tree.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers were Lloyd Burr Jr., Alan Burr, Kevin Forbes, Eldon Kile, John Burr, and Terry Edmonds.
