The last name spelling is very confusing and was spelled BUCKLEY for census. Information is from my Grand Aunts family tree investigation. Elizabeth's maiden name was listed as Brace on her death certificate, so i think they got the wrong one (there was an Elizabeth (Betsy) Brace, but she did not marry James Buckley according to records). This enters more into the mystery of James Brace (DOB 1864)who was living with Joseph Cephas and Zuba Mills Buckley in the 1865 census along with their 2 daughters, Gertrude and Betsy.
In the 1865 census, the last name was spelled Buckley
