FOSTER, CHESTER - 60 Pennington Gap, Va., died Tuesday at Lee County Community Hospital following an illness. A former resident of Harlan, he was a retired miner and member of the Willis Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his father, Richard Foster, he is survived by his wife, Katherine Foster, Pennington Gap; mother, Mattie Foster, Oneida, Tenn.; and nine children, Chester D. Foster, Coalgood; Faye Worthington, Danville; Barbara Austin, Kissimmee, Fla.,David Foster, Danny Robinson, Darvis Robinson,Wanda Fosey,Dixie Bundy and Stephanie Foster , all of Pennington Gap. The funeral was Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Sturgill Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Baird officiating. Burial was in Powell Valley Cemetery, Dryden, Va. Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Sturgill Funeral Home, Pennington Gap, Va.
