Funeral services for Lois Dean Durant Addison will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2011 in the First United Pentecostal Church of Oakdale with the Revs. Tim Kelley and Donnis Ashworth officiating. Committal service will follow in the Cryer Cemetery under the guidance of White Oaks, Oakdale.

Lois Dean, 78 of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 23, 2011 in her residence. She was born on September 22, 1932 in Oakdale to the union of Eli and Pearl Messer Durant. She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Oakdale, and worked in retail sales for many years. She was a loving homemaker, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was also a devoted and loving wife of 50 years to her husband.

Her parents, husband, Sammie H. Addison, two brothers, Charles Durant, and Statam Durant; and one grandson, Chad McKnight precedes her in death.

She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, one son, David Addison and wife, Jeri of Vidor, Texas; one daughter, Suzanne McKnight and husband, Donald Lee of Oakdale; five grandchildren, Christy St. Andrie and husband, Mickey of Oakdale, Jamie Lane and husband, Mark of Vidor, Texas, Kim Richard and husband, Curtis of Vidor, Texas, David Joseph Addison and wife, Courtney of Vidor, Texas, and Kandace Carter of Vidor, Texas; nine great-grandchildren, Cody St. Andrie and wife, Alisha of Sugartown, Emily Lane of Vidor, Texas, Justin Richard of Vidor, Texas, Brittany Richard of Vidor, Texas, Aubrey Addison of Vidor, Texas, Hunter Carter of Vidor, Texas, Alyssa McKnight of Oakdale, and Lynsi McKnight of Oakdale; one sister, Betty Levron and husband, Herbert of Oakdale; two brothers, Billy Durant and wife, Dee of Monett, Missouri, and James Durant and wife, Eve of Cornersville, Tennessee, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers to serve will be David Joseph Addison, Curtis Richard, Mickey St. Andrie, Justin Richard, Cody St. Andrie, and Scott Young.

Visitation will be today at the First United Pentecostal Church from 11 am until 9 pm and Wednesday from 8 am until time of service.
