Comment from Jennifer Neff:
Bob Neff, my father, told me a story about Herbert Delfs. He said that Herbert married a real beauty, Ethel Templin, who lived in Calla. (Templin Nursery). He said that to court her, Herbert walked along the railroad tracks from Delfs in Canfield to Calla – a very long walk! All the while Dad was telling Delfs stories, he kept commenting on how beautiful all the Delfs' girls were. (I couldn't keep them straight and one sounded prettier than the next.) He liked to swim with them at Diehl Lake and still remembers the white suit that one of the girls wore.
