Mr Phillips
Barnard Phillips, 60, of Sanderstown Road, died June 21, in a Franklin hospital.
A Macon County native, his parents were the late King and Annie Sanders Phillips. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Norris Phillips; four daughters, Sue Downs, Marie Talley, and Leoda Arrant, all of Franklin, and Sandra Ledford of Athens, GA; three sons, Rev Aaron Phillips of Belmont, and Johnny and Bryant Phillips of Franklin; five sisters, Fannie Rogers, Ruby Hodgins, Margie Curtis, and Mattie Norris, all of Franklin, and Susie Bradley, of Brevard; a brother, Ellis Phillips of Franklin; and eight grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday in Tessentee Church of God. The Revs. Robert Dryman, and Robert Harrison officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Nephews served as pallbearers.
