Morris was born Morris Jacobowitz. When he was 5, he and his brother, Henry, were placed in a Jewish Orphanage in New York City. Morris was (presumably) adopted by Morris and Minnie Orlevitch with whom he lived for many years in Patchogue, NY. When adult, he changed his name to Aldrich and ultimately moved to Florida.
The Orlevitch family also contained three daughters, Ruth Jeanette, Norma Helen and Eleanor V.
Morris' brother, Henry was taken from the orphanage by a Mrs Rubin of Ploughkeepsie, NY.
