Marks is the maiden name of Mary's mother Mary Marks Irby.
Where Mary Irby Bilyeu's parents, William and Mary Irby, are buried is unknown at this time.
About 1859 William dies in the Sowers area (annexed by city of Irving about 1956) of Dallas County, Texas. In 1860 Mary is living in the Sowers area of Dallas County Texas. There are the are the 3 girls, Louisa, Amanda and Mary (age 1) and 2 boys (John and David) and Mary’s brother Watt Marks.
In the 1870 census in Sowers Dallas County, Texas lives Martin Blue, born in Missouri, and his family, Martin is same age as Mary. In 1880 Mary and Martin Balew are married and living in Collin County Texas with one child.
In the 1880 census Mary Marks Irby is living w brother Watt Marks in Dallas County Texas and looks like she remarried, with name of Mary Gwinn. And adopted a daughter Rachel Josephine Beckner who married Enoch Bennett.
In John Irby's obituary, lists sisters Louisa Crabtree and Mollie Blyon living in Manitau Okla. Mollie Blyon is a long way from Mary Bilyeu but believe they are one and the same.
I do research and restoration for Sowers Cemetery (earliest 'known' grave is 1867) in Irving Texas. Mary's brothers John and David are buried there. Location of John's grave is unknown at this time.
