Margaret ("Peg") A. (White) Killgoar, 90, of Rockland, formerly of Dorchester and Hingham, passed away at home on February 11,2010, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the devoted mother of John R. Killgoar and his wife, Teresa, of Hanover, William P. Killgoar and his wife, Maureen, of Framingham, and Elizabeth A. Killgoar of Quincy; loving grandmother of Jennifer K. (Killgoar) Bertoncini and her husband, Michael, of Hanover, Sean Killgoar and his wife, Colleen, of Whitman, Jared F. Killgoar and Elizabeth M. Killgoar both of Framingham; loving great-grandmother of John, Matthew, Christopher, Ian and Colin; devoted sister of John White and his wife, Edith, of Weymouth. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins. She was the beloved wife for 58 years of the late John Randolph ("Randy") Killgoar, who died in 2001. She was also the sister of the late Mary White McAdams of Quincy, Sister Elizabeth White, Sisters of Charity of Halifax, Teresa White Russell of Sandwich, Francis X. White of Quincy, and William White of Dorchester. Raised and educated in Dorchester, she was a graduate of Boston Clerical School, after which she was employed by Colliers Magazine. She was a longtime member of St. Brendans (Dorchester) Guild. One of her favorite pastimes was bowling and she was a member of several leagues. She was active in Boston political campaigns and an avid fan of Boston sports teams, especially the Boston Red Sox. She loved being with her family and spending time traveling with them to Cape Cod, Florida, and especially Ireland. She was an avid reader and took great pride in being a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rte 18 opposite South Shore Hospital), Tuesday at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass to follow in Holy Family Church, Rockland Center at 9 oclock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday from 3-7 p.m. Interment, Saint Pauls Cemetery, Hingham.
