He married Ione Crump in 1921 in California. He was a retired farmer and former resident of the Jean Community. He lived most of his life in Young County, TX and was a member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by his father; wife; son, Don Allen; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Shepherd and Mrs. L E McNeese; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Dalton Allen and Kirk Allen; and sister, Dollie Swaim.
